Condolence From: Bill Nowlin
Condolence: Very sorry to learn, only just now, of Joe's passing. He was a wonderful man, always welcoming. At Rounder Records, we were and remain very proud of the work Mark Wilson did in recording Joe. And then for Joe to receive the National Heritage honor was indeed great recognition of his talent.

Condolence: Dear Norma and Cormier Children,
Your husband and father was a dear dear friend of my parents, Herb and Marjorie Macleod of Arlington. I was very saddened to learn of his death. I fondly remember Joe playing on so many occasions at the Canadian American Club, Gaelic Club and house parties. He was so talented and eloquent in his execution of the violin. He will be missed here on earth however his arrival in the afterlife will be rejoiced by many, including my father who valued his friendship and talent. May your fond memories of Joe comfort you in the days ahead. Normally I would close with may he rest in peace but being a Cape Breton fiddler I am sure he is in the tuning room making a joyful noise with those that have passed before him.
Again, I am sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Audrey Macleod Pfeiffer

We will miss him terribly and we share in your grief . We love you all .
