Of Waltham, passed away, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 89 years old.
Norma was born December 10, 1927 in Alder Point, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to the late Andrew and Pauline (O'Toole) LeBlanc. She immigrated to Waltham in 1962 with her loving husband of 66 years, the late Joe Cormier, as well as four of her six children, where she has been a resident ever since.
In her spare time, Norma enjoyed bowling and dancing in her younger days, taking trips to the casino, and traveling the world with her husband. She was also very artistic and liked to paint and sew.
She is survived by her six children Ricky Cormier of Waltham, Denise Cormier of Waltham, Lonny Cormier and his wife Joan Cerrone of Lowell, Michele Cormier and her partner John Lentz of Woburn, Alan Cormier of San Francisco, CA, and Andy Cormier and his wife Jennifer Morgan of Waltham, and her cherished grand children Katie and Gina Biondo of Brighton, Sophie and Harry Cormier of Belmont, and Jayden Morgan and Austin Cormier of Waltham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Norma's life at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School St., Waltham, Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
