Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning March 23rd, 2017 at the E.N. Rogers Veterans Memorial Hospital in Bedford after a long illness at the age of 68.
Born on April 16, 1948 in Waltham; beloved son of the late Alvin M. Linnell and Elizabeth (Crowe) Linnell, Dave was a lifelong resident of Waltham.
A graduate of Waltham Vocational High School, Dave went on to Truck Driving School in Boston and made a career in the Transportation Industry as a Truck Driver. For the past 10 years he was employed with Portland Stone Ware Company out of Dracut.
After graduation from High School, David proudly served with the United States Air Force.
Dave had a passion for cars and auto mechanics. He loved rebuilding and working on older cars.
He is survived by his loving & devoted siblings Alvin M. Linnell Jr. of Waltham, Elizabeth G. "Betty" MacKenzie and her husband Murdock of Grafton, and the late Daniel P. Linnell and his wife Sandra (Montgomery) Linnell of Sandwich. In addition he is survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews and cousins.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of David’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday morning March 28th at 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel prior to the Funeral Service on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow with United States Air Force Military Honors at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
