Of Watertown, passed away peacefully late on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 after a long illness at the age of 72.
Born on March 3, 1945 in Catania, Sicily; loving son of Graziella (Romeo) Pecci of Italy and the late Corrado Pecci. Mario immigrated to the United States as a young man in 1968 and after his marriage to his beloved wife in 1969 he moved to Belmont. He has resided in Watertown since 1996 with his family.
Mario was employed with the Raytheon Corporation in Waltham for many years. Family was the most important aspect of his life, but he found time to enjoy the outdoors. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Assunta (Sgrosso) Pecci, his devoted and loving children Sonia Schneider and her husband Samuel of Brookline and Corrado Pecci and his wife Sandra of Arlington. In addition he is survived by his grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Mario’s Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel, 325 Trapelo Road, BELMONT on Monday, March 13, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Lexington. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass from 10:00a.m. - 12:30p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
