Of Waltham, passed away early Monday morning, October 10, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Plymouth. She was 95.
Born and raised in Pulcharini, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Carmela (Collura) Mallozzi, she moved to Waltham with her family in1953 and has been a resident ever since.
Ms. Mallozzi enjoyed knitting sweaters and dresses, loved family gatherings and parties, cooking, and gardens. She loved to pick and smell flowers when ever she got the chance. Anna Maria was a very religious woman and was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church. Although Anna had no children of her own she helped out by watching many of her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed singing, spending weekends in Plymouth, and being the center of attention by telling one of her stories about the old days.
She is survived by her sister Helen Fucci of Waltham, and her brother Luciano Mallozzi and his wife Beatrice (DiSeglio) of Plymouth. She was the aunt of 21 nieces and nephews, 38 great nieces and nephews, 25 great great nieces and nephews, and 2 great great great nieces.
She was the sister of the late Celia Giardina and her husband Bartholomew, the late Salvatore Mallozzi and his wife Giovanna (Fava), the late Antonio Mallozzi and his wife Maria (DiGiorgio), and sister-in-law of the late Domenic Fucci.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Friday at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Anna Maria's life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St. at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
