Of Belmont & Scituate, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening June 5th, 2016 at the South Shore Medical Center in Weymouth at the age of 90.
Born on December 10, 1925 in Everett; daughter of the late Eugenio Centauro and Rose (Martino) Centauro, Catherine was raised in Belmont and has been a resident of Belmont & Scituate for many years.
A graduate of the Boston Trade School for Girls, she was employed as a Seamstress for the majority of her life.
Catherine was a loving & devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother throughout her life. She loved being part of her children and grandchildren's lives following all of their activities and watching them grow.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, baking, cooking and playing bingo.
Catherine's faith was important to her; she was an active and devoted parishioner of Saint Luke's Parish Community in Belmont and Saint Mary's Parish Community in Scituate.
She is survived by her devoted & loving daughters Rose Santosousso of Quincy and Mary Santosousso of Scituate, her cherished grandchildren Kristen Stewart, Michael Stewart and his wife Pamela, Matthew Stewart, Ryan Salmon and Lauren Salmon, and her adoring great grandchildren Marissa Rose Cecca and Michael Anthony Stewart Jr. In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews..

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 325 Trapelo Road, BELMONT on Thursday morning June 9th at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Catherine’s Life in Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Watertown. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday June 8th from 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
