Of Franklin, NH formerly of Waltham, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family, Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Franklin Regional Hospital. She was 80.
Born April 12, 1936 to the late William and Mary Burke, she moved to Waltham as a young girl, at 18 she met and married the love of her life the late Francis "Frank" J. Sottile, who passed away in 1990 after sharing 36 wonderful years together. She and her husband raised 10 children.
Some of her fondest memories were the family trips to the Lone Star Ranch in Merrimack, NH, and the Sudbury Watermill for picnics that always ended at the Penny Candy Store in Marlborough, MA.
She was the beloved mother of the late Frank Sottile, Jr. who passed away in December of 2015.
She is survived by her loving children all formerly of Waltham; Nancy and her husband Max Baburins, of Pittsfield, NH, Eileen and her husband Rick Jones of Co. Springs, CO, MaryAnn Adams of Franklin, NH, Susan Steinback of Epsom, NH, Carol and her husband Walter Wilson of Northfield, NH, Lorraine and her husband David French of Sanbornton, NH, Sandra Davila of San Diego, CA, Francine "Tina" and her husband Daniel Hughes , Sr. of Franklin, NH, John Sottile of Belmont, NH, and her daughter-in-law Kimberly Sottile of Pittsfield, NH. She is also survived by her 35 cherished grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren .
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Lorraine's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Wednesday at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held prior tot he Service from 10 am to 12 noon. Parking attendants will be on duty.
