Of Norton, formerly of Medfield and Waltham, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 9, 2016, in the comfort of her home. She was 63.
Born in Chelsea and raised in Watertown and Waltham to the late Alfred and Theresa (Doyle) Emberley, she later resided in Medfield before settling in Norton 15 years ago.
For the past ten years Sandy worked for EMC Corporation as a Sales Administrator.
In her spare time, Sandy simply tried to enjoy every day – spending time with her family and friends, relaxing in her yard or on her boat, camping in New Hampshire and Plymouth, and chasing her grandsons around. She was hard-working and loved to have a good time. She will be remembered for her spunky personality, her selflessness, her great sense of humor and her infectious laugh.
Sandy is survived by her loving daughter Shannon Ewer and her husband Joe of Hingham, her devoted siblings Fred Emberley of Waltham, Karen McKeon and her husband Michael of Waltham, and Jack Emberley of Waltham, her cherished grandchildren Harper and Leo and her partner, Mark Mundie of Norton. She was the loyal wife of the late Alan J. Cook.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of Sandy's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Friday at 6 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4-6 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
