Of Newton passed away suddenly, Sunday morning, July 26, 2015 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 91.
Born and raised in South Boston to the late Thomas H. and Ellen V. (McCarthy) Gorman, she moved to Newton in 1956 where she has been a resident ever since.
Pat worked for Sears in the customer service department for many years before her retirement in 1994.
Mrs. Flynn was a very devout Catholic and active member of Corpus Christi parish in Auburndale. The most important things in Pat's life were her family and her faith, there is nothing she would rather do than spend time with her family. Pat's family is grateful for the care she received from the staff of Senior Place at Deutsches Altenheim in West Roxbury.
Pat was the beloved wife of the late Paul S. Flynn, who passed away in 2008, and the devoted mother of the late Michael Flynn. She was one of 16 children all deceased except her two sisters Rita Walsh of Quincy and Dorothy Manning of Hyannis.
Besides her sisters she is survived by her loving children Paula Flynn of Saddle Brook, NJ, Thomas P. Flynn and his wife Shirley (Nottage) of St. Clairsville, OH, Joseph A. Flynn and his wife Debbie (O'Sullivan) of Waltham, Patricia Cotrone and her husband Stephen of West Roxbury, Susan Giroux and her husband Mark of Andover, Marie Caruso and her husband Pasquale of Newton, and Steven Flynn and his wife Marinalva (Aredes) of Worcester. Pat is also survived by 13 beloved grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church, 45 Ash St., Auburndale at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
