Of Waltham passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at his home. He was 55.
Born in Aurora, Colorado to George A. Byam, III and the late Shirley D. (Kelley) Byam, he moved to Waltham as a young boy and has been a resident ever since. He was a 1977 graduate of Waltham High School.
George worked as a machinist at Ross Cutter Machine Co. of Waltham and Technical Publication in Waltham, he also worked as a meat cutter at Costco for many years.
In his spare time George enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and all of the local sports teams, he loved classic rock, obscure trivia, mathematics, talking politics, and coffee and bacon. He was an amateur satirical cartoonist with a "wicked" sense of humor. His family and friends will remember him as an unassuming guy with an amazing amount of knowledge.
Besides his father he is survived by his loving son George A. Byam, V and his wife Michele (Ryan) of Chelmsford, his sisters Beverly Luttazi of Bridgewater and Linda Byam of Waltham, his brother John Maceira of Virginia, and his cherished granddaughter Macy. He is also survived by the Beaumont family of Waltham and his two nieces Olivia and Natalie Luttazi.
