Obituary for Richard Corbett

Of Newton died May 1, 2015. Husband of Judith (Tramontozzi). Son of the late William and Claire (Welch).

Brother to William, Donald, Donna Sarkisian, MaryBeth Fraser, John and Timothy, and the late Janet Higgins and Kevin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dick was retired from the City of Newton as the Building Maintenance Supervisor. He served in Vietnam as a Tank Commander where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with V Device. He is a life member of the 11thACVVC. Life member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 141 Newton. Life member of VFW Post 2498 Needham. Dick was Scoutmaster to Troop 212 BSA for many years, and in the 80s ran the Winchester Street Racing Team.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting hours at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty. A Funeral Service in celebration of Richard's Life will be held privately for the immediate family.
