Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Saturday October 11th, 2014 in the Metro-West Medical Center Framingham Union Hospital at the age of 93.
Born on December 30, 1920 in Florence; daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Gustavich) Kuchka, Anna was raised in Bristol, Connecticut and has been a resident of Waltham since 1949.
A graduate of Bristol High School, Anna continued her education at Saint Mary's School of Nursing in Waterbury, Connecticut.
After graduation Anna enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served as a Registered Nurse during World War II.
She was employed as a Registered Nurse at the former Waltham Hospital for over 25 years.
In her spare time she enjoyed painting and all types of arts and crafts.
Beloved wife for 62 years to the late Joseph M. Colombo.
She is survived by her loving children JoAnn Easton and her husband Jeff of White River Junction, VT and Joseph Colombo and his wife Sharon of Sudbury and cherished grandchildren Lisa Colombo of Bethel, VT and Beth Colombo of Sacramento, CA.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Anna’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM on Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. Interment with United States Navy Military Honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
