Of Waltham passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness. He was 56.
Ronald grew up in Watertown and was a 1975 graduate of Watertown High School (Home Base). He has been a resident of Waltham for the past 35 years.
Mr. Tocco was a self-employed freelance Audio-Visual Engineer for many years.
He was a musician and played the guitar in many bands but most notably was Crisis in the 1980's and Kingpin Swilley in 2010. Besides music he also loved sports; especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. But, most of all, he loved his family & his friends.
He is survived by his parents Ronald N. Tocco, Sr. of Florida, and Norma (Tocci) Tocco of Waltham, his wife Cheryl (Troup), his loving daughter Melissa Tocco and her fiancé Michael Mejia of Waltham, his step-son Scott Troup and his wife Lori (Paci) of Lynn, and his brother William Tocco of Plymouth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Ronald's life in the Chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Monday morning, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
