Annemarie (Kerr) Kanen
Of Waltham passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 76.
Born and raised in Newton to her loving mother the late Josephine (Kerr) Colletti, she has been a resident of Waltham for over 50 years.
Anne was a graduate of Newton North High School and Waltham Hospital Nursing School. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Maristhill Nursing Home for many years.
In her spare time, Mrs. Kanen enjoyed Arts and Crafts, planting flowers, and her cat Priscilla.
She is survived by her devoted companion George Kimball, her loving children Lori Fitzgerald-Leger and her husband Richard Leger of Waltham, Jason Fitzgerald of Waltham, her brother Michael Colletti and his wife Diane of North Andover, her cherished grandchildren Sean Patrick Fitzgerald-Leger of Waltham, Gabrielle Ronni Fitzgerald-Leger of Waltham, Liam Sebastian Fitzgerald-Leger of Waltham, and Sara Ann Fitzgerald of Franklin, her great grand daughter of Avalee Fitzgerald, her niece Catherine Colletti and her nephews Michael Patrick and Mark Andrew Colletti.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of Annemarie’s life at The Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street., Waltham, Saturday afternoon August 10, 2019 at 2 pm. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 1 – 2 pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
