Condolences

Condolence From: Jay Richards
Condolence: I worked with Bob at the Seattle Mariners stadium here in Seattle. Very sad to see that he has passed. What I really remember about Bob was his sense of humor. When something wasn't going quite right, he could crack you up with a one liner or observation making things just a little bit better. Condolences to his family.

Condolence: Deepest sympathy to Richie and his family for the loss of "Ski" his brother and my friend. I met ski in the early 70's as roommates when living with Ski's running Back friend Tom Ripmaster where they were running backs at Drake University. I remember one time and there where many Ski asked me to cover the sub shop while he ran a couple errands. Ski told me you can have anything you want to eat, so Ski returned and said where's the roast beef and I said I ate it the whole container. That was my first and last day Ski ever ask me to cover the Sub shop. We had fun Ice fishing together many times always out with Ski you would have the best of times. Tom Wasolaskus

Condolence: It was a sad day for me when heard of Ski's passing. I was flooded with good times and memories shared traveling on our motorcycles throughout Michigan, to the great Smoky Mountains, to New Hampshire and every where else in between. However, as his former pastor while he was living in Michigan, I can safely say that I know another side of Ski that most people probably did not know because he did not wear it on his sleeve, His spirituality. I've witnessed his regular attendance at church and volunteered countless hours for all kinds of activities, or whatever asked of him. He was truly a team player and a selfless individual.
Shortly after he moved out of Michigan, I felt a lost of a good friend. On one occasion, I sent him a "care" package, but unfortunately with a wrong address, hence was returned with "RETURNED TO SENDER" on the package. Today those words really describe so clearly and concisely the gift that our Creator God gives to Ski and to his family and friends. God does not forget us or abandon us. God does not allow us to deteriorate into nothingness. Rather, God says, "Return Ski to me!". The time now comes for me to repackage, rewrap this unique bundle of God's gifts which I have been so blessed to experience and share. The time comes to follow the directions on the package, those three words: RETURN TO SENDER. What a welcome God has in store for Ski.
