Robert J. Waters 7/15/1943 - 6/19/2017
Of Somerville, passed away peacefully late Monday evening June 19th, 2017 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a long illness at the age of 73.
Son of the late John T. Waters and Eleanor G. (Robbins) Waters.
A graduate of Somerville High School, Bob joined the United States Army after graduating and proudly served his Country during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He graduated Babson College Magna Cum Laude and had been employed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Helen McMahon Waters, his loving sons Robert J. Waters Jr. and his spouse Christopher Tyrrell of Waltham, Michael J. Waters and his finance' Kerri Verrocchi of Waltham, Jonathan McMahon and his wife Kerri (Tortora) McMahon of Medford, and Thomas McMahon and Elizabeth DeOlviera of Somerville and his adored grandchildren Sean, Brandon, Justin, Aaron, Abbey, Andrew and Anthony.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Robert’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning June 26that 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial prior to the funeral service from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Interment with United States Army Military Honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans National Cemetery, MacArthur Blvd. (Rte.#28) at OTIS A.F.B. Bourne on Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
