Condolence From: Linda Wade
Condolence: Sam just being Sam was a joy to be around (at least for me). He had a great sense of humor, a quick wit and a sharp way of looking at things. He was also a great co-conspiritor to tease my big sister Donna every time we could. It hurts whenever images of being around Sam pop into my head. I will cherish each and every one of them. I will truly miss him.
My heart breaks for my sister and nephews. I pray for a way to ease their pain and help them find peace. God be with them.

Condolence: Donna and Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Sam's passing. I have known Sam since I was a little girl growing up across the street. I remember Sam as being a pleasurable person who was very active in neighborhood issues. Sam will fondly be remembered for years to come.

With Deepest Sympathy,
Anita Morin

Condolence: Donna and Sons

For me Sam will be remembered most for his love of our city and his volunteerism. He was co founder of Nightcaps Corner Neighborhood Association. He was an advocate for his neighborhood . His commitment, dedication, passion for his city and village was unwavering. His history and recall of the "lakes region" area of the Charles River and coves was crucial to the restoration of this neighborhood. The many improvement made under Sam's watchful eye were

the take back of the incinerator property, serving on both the Rumford Ave landfill task force lead to the city of Newton returning over 35 acres of active landfill back to the city as "Passive Recreation land." and the Rumford Ave Incinerator task force.

Sam's watchful eye and his willingness to help out , greatly contributed to the improvements of the Nighcap Corner area. We honor his volunteerism and activism. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: I will always have memories of Sam at the BBQ grill in the backyard on the 4th of July, having a great time, just waiting for dark so he could set off his fireworks. He always had an easy smile and a great sense of humor. A generous soul he was. Deepest sympathy to Donna, Joey, Mark and Gregory. Sam will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Donna and boys, I'm so sorry that Sam is gone. I have years of fond memories of he and Charlie and he and Dave verbally sparring! Such a smart and quick witted guy. It only seems fitting that I light a candle for him. I'm keeping you all close in my heart and prayers.

Condolence: Sam was a good guy, who did a lot of work on my cars when I was a teenager. He did good work at fair price, and was a great guy to shoot the breeze with at his garage. I never knew he was known as the "Mayor of Nightcap Corner," but that is fitting.
