Of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 12th, 2017 in Marlborough Hospital at the age of 59.
Born on September 7, 1957 in Watertown; son of the late Rolando and Filomena (Scioli) Scioli, Joe was born, raised and educated in Watertown before moving to Hudson 15 years ago.
A graduate of Watertown High School with the Class of 1975; Joe worked as a Contractor in the Construction Industry throughout his life.
Affectionately known to many of his friends and to those that knew him as "Crazy Joe"; he lived a life many could never dream of in such a short period of time. His passions where for motorcycles and music. Joe was an incredible drummer and accomplished musician with his own band.
Life had it's many challenges for Joe, but he took it in stride. When faced with the most difficult decisions, he chose to give of himself to others. Joe used his many life experiences to help thousands of people overcome addiction, pain & suffering. He lifted spirits, touched the hearts of many and brought joy to those who felt helpless. He led a unique, extraordinary and amazing life by touching the lives of all who came into contact with him.
It has been said "that some people come into our lives and quickly go, others stay for awhile and leave footprints on our heart and we are never the same". If you knew "Crazy Joe" your life will never be the same.
A legend through his own stories and the story telling of those who knew him, Joe will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those he touched in such a period of time.
Joe was a motorcycle enthusiast and belonged to various motorcycle clubs throughout New England area. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to go fishing & bow hunting.
He is survived by his true love & soulmate Irene Mary Powell, his dear uncle and aunt Mario Scioli and his wife Maria of Montreal and Helen Scioli of Florida and his cherished cousin Nicolina Sisto and her husband Mike. In addition he is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Joe’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St, Waltham on Saturday evening Feb. 18th at 5:00 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Saturday 1 – 5 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
