Obituary for Victor J. "Vic" Caissie

Victor J. "Vic" Caissie
Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning February 13, 2017 in Newton - Wellesley Hospital at the age of 58.

Born on March 23, 1958 in Waltham, beloved son of Andrew and Geraldine Caissie, Victor was a lifelong resident.

Victor attended Waltham Vocational High School and had been a self-employed Tree Surgeon throughout his life.

Often seen sitting on his porch talking with anyone and everyone, Victor's life was about helping others and giving of himself in every way. He would go out of his way to do anything or provide anything for people in need. He may have done that because of his strong faith in God; Victor was a faithful parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Waltham.

He had a great sense of humor with a very recognizable voice, Vic enjoyed going out and would often joke around. He was also referred to as the " Mayor" of Waltham due to his large group of friends and loved ones. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards especially "cribbage"

Victor's true passion and greatest enjoyment in life came from being a father to his 3 children and "Papa" to his 4 grandchildren. Nothing in life was more important then his family. A simple man who lived life with a strong faith and a devotion to his family.

Victor is survived by his devoted & loving children Melissa Caissie and her fiancé Mark Ricci of Amesbury, Victor Caissie and his wife Kate of Framingham, and Danielle Caissie of Waltham, his cherished grandchildren Dominic, Brianna, Dylan and Amelia, his beloved parents Andrew and Geraldine Caissie of Waltham & Florida, and his dear siblings Ron Caissie of Nottingham, NH, Vincent Caissie of Waltham, Paula Magee of Westminster, and Andrea Guelli of Rockport, and his former wife Janice Cormier Caissie. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews and numerous close friends.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funerals Services in celebration of Victor's Life from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Saturday morning Feb. 18th at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Friday Feb. 17th from 4 - 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
