Of Milford formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening February 5th, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in her residence at the age of 89.
Born on May 23, 1927 in Waltham, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Iannuzzo) Bomba, Connie was a lifelong resident of Waltham until 8 months ago when she moved to her son and daughter-in-law's home for comfort and care in her later years.
A graduate of Waltham High School, Connie worked for the Raytheon corporation in Newton for several years and with the Grover Cronin's department store on Moody Street in Waltham.
Her greatest joy in life came from being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
In her spare time Connie had a love for shopping especially after getting her drivers license in her 50's.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years Robert N. DeMarco Sr., her devoted & loving sons Robert N. "Bobby" DeMarco and his wife Deborah of Milford and Michael R. DeMarco and his wife Carmen Umpierre of Natick, her cherished grandchildren Robert N. DeMarco III, Isabella and Ileana, and her siblings Eleanor "Ellie" Lepordo of Sudbury and Amelia "Amy" Gullotto of Springhill, FL. In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews.
Dear sister of the late Phyllis Fiandaca, Frank, Rosario "Sal", and James Bomba.
It was a blessing to have the dedicated and loving care of her daughter-in-law throughout her illness and in her final days.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Connie's Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Saturday morning Feb. 11th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel on Friday Feb. 10th from 4 - 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
