Of Belmont, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning September 23rd, 2016 in her home at the age of 68.

Born on November 10, 1947 in Waltham; beloved daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Rose (Restuccia) Dutra, Sylvia lived most of her life in Belmont.

A graduate from Belmont High School with the Class of 1966, Sylvia furthered her education at Clark University and had been employed as a bookkeeper throughout her life.

Sylvia is survived by her loving & devoted brother Antonio “Tony” Dutra of Washington, DC., 5 cherished godchildren, numerous dear cousins and close friends.

Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Service from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel, 325 Trapelo Road, BELMONT on Tuesday morning Oct. 4th at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Sylvia’s life at Saint Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday from 5 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Sylvia’s memory to charity of one’s choice.
