Obituary for Sylvina Matilda Broadus (Warner)

Of Waltham passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Eliot Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Natick. She was 84.

Born and raised in St. Andrew, Jamaica, to the late Jacob and Christabel (Campbell) Warner. She moved to Waltham in the 1970's and has been a resident ever since.

Mrs. Broadus worked as a Nurse's Aide at the Walter E. Fernald Center in Waltham for many years.

Sylvina was a devout Christian and enjoyed going to the Gladtidings Pentecostal Assembly Church in Mattapan.

She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Broadus, devoted mother of the late Reuben Douglas, Jr., and sister of the late Princess Warner

She is survived by her children Maxine and Frederick Broadus both of Jamaica, and her brothers Newton Warner of Canada and Durran Warner of Jamaica. She is also survived many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend A Funeral Service at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Friday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
