Obituary for Anthony Michael Grande

Of Hopkinton, formerly of Belmont and Peabody, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton. He was 95
.
Mr. Grande was born and raised in the North End Section of Boston to the late Raffaele and Rose (Cardlisco) Grande. Anthony moved to Belmont in 1949, where he raised his family, and moved to Brooksby in Peabody 12 years ago. He spent the last two years living in the Golden Pond Assisted living in Hopkinton.

Anthony was a graduate of Boston English High School. He joined the Navy, and served honorably as a Seaman Second Class during World War II.

In his spare time he enjoyed music and dancing. He sung in the choir at Brooksby Village. He also enjoyed traveling, especially on a cruise ship, and started the Bocce league, where it continues to today.

He was the Beloved husband of the late Martha (Oliverio) Grande and the late Teresa (Raposo) Grande, and father-in-law of the late Joseph F. Mitchell., and brother of the late Carmella Bordanaro, Jenny DeMarco, Lucy Wood, Jimmy Grande, Christie Grande, Louis Grande, Mooney Grande, and Raymie Grande.

He is survived by his loving children Rosemary Mitchell of Upton, Anthony M Grande, Jr. and his wife Cheryl (Carpenter) of Jupiter, FL, Ralph Grande and his wife Janet (MacDonald) of Randolph and Suzanne Grande Roback of Watertown., and brother of Lee DiMino of Boston. He is also survived by his longtime companion from Brooksby Village, Florence Perkins,11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Mass in celebration of Anthony's life at Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington St., Belmont, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 9 a.m. The Brasco & Sons Memorial assisted the family with arrangement.
