Condolence From: David McGann
Condolence: Mary Ann, Karen, Mike, Pat, Ken, and Nora I am so sorry on the passing of Ken. He was one of my first mentors when I came on the police department in 1980. Ken was one of my instructors in the police academy who taught criminal law. He was my favorite instructors and I learned so much not only in criminal law but how to treat people with respect. As years passed we got together several times on St.Patrick's Day at O'Reilly's Daughter where Ken would entertain us with his renditions of several Irish tunes. I was also fortunate to see Ken occasionally at O'Shea's on the cape where we shared stories of our police career and again to hear his Irish songs. Ken rest in peace until we all meet again where we can all sing Danny Boy together.

Condolence: I first meet Kenny walking a beat and he was my street Sgt. He always made sure on those cold February nights I had a hot cup of coffee. As the Vice President of Walthans first Police Acedemy Kenny and I interacted frequently to make sure everyone passed his criminal law class as he was the best instructor ever.On St Paddys day everyone relished seeing Kenny at OReillys daughter singing Danny Boy to a standing ovation when he was done.Kenny treated all people with respect and dignity and this to me was what made him the man he was.To Mary Ann and all his children his memories will sustain and bring you comfort during these difficult days ahead, cherish and hold them close to your heart.

Condolence: Kenny always said he could tell a story 10 times faster than Mary Ann and me because we always had to add the color!!! So Kenny I'll try to do this without too much color----Thank You for: making Mary Ann your wife so she wouldn't be an old maid like me---letting me be the Maid of Honor at your wedding---letting me be Nora's Godmother---helping me buy my house in Natick--giving and setting up my first computer---for making me all those drinks on the deck at the Cape!!!!---letting Finnegan stay with me for 17 days at Christmas----not too much color I hope. Rest in Peace Ken-I from your Sarah Ellen (a/k/a Sallie

Condolence From: Kathryn "Katie" Gray
Condolence: My condolences and prayers go out to the whole McGilvray family at this time of grievance. I adored Kenny with my whole entire heart & soul. I looked forward to every Saturday and Sunday hearing that back door open at 5 o'clock sharp, not a minute later, and Kenny strolling around the corner always with a smile ear to ear on his face, an his arms open for a hug....and as everyone already knows, Kenny gave the BEST hugs! The smell of your cologne would stay on my clothes for a while and I hated it, but you would always say that it was intentional, so that you could always be with me! It's true, you will always be with me! We had a special relationship with a lot of little cute inside jokes that I will forever treasure! Along with the talks we would have when you'd give me rides home so I didn't have to walk. You were the definition of a Gentleman, and had obtained celebrity status! Your sweet, kind, loving, and caring words will remain with me forever! Blackberry Brandy & "Cerrickfergus" will eternally make me smile & think of you, dear friend....57 years separated us, but it didn't matter ! I love you always. Again, my deepest prayers to your family...♡♡♡.
With love, unconditionally-
Kathryn Gray
