Of Saugus, passed away Saturday evening, April 23, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness. He was 72.
Born in Petillia Policastro, Calabria, Italy to the late Frank and Teresa (Bruno) LeChiara, one of seven children, he moved to The Lake Section of Newton when he was 17, and later settled in Saugus where he lived for over 30 years.
He was the owner and operator of Universal Protective Services, a security system business in Saugus, for many years.
In his spare time, Vincent enjoyed music and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Angela (Basso) LeChiara of Saugus, his devoted daughter Cristina LeChiara of Wakefield, his sisters Anna Parise of Italy, Sandra Gallello of Newton, Maria Musto of Westwood, and Theresa Hutton of Weston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Rosario and Felicia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Vincent's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 12 noon. Interment, private. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10am to 12 noon. Parking attendants will be on duty.
