Of Belmont and Watertown, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 30, 2015 at the age 76. He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years Mary Ann (Romeo) Miller. He leaves his devoted sons Philip Jr. and wife Theresa (Kirchner) of Sudbury, Douglas and his wife Diane (Baronie) of Norfolk, and Daniel of Belmont. He leaves six wonderful grandchildren; Joseph, Julie, Justin, Kevin, Timothy and Dena.
He is predeceased by his parents, Charles F. And Mary B. (Ready), sister Mary T.C. and her husband, Angelo Aiello, brother James W., and brother in-law William Tripp. He is survived by siblings Charles F. Jr., Marilyn (Tripp), and Ethel, all of Watertown, Ann and, Fiancé, Albert Petrola of Concord, John and, wife, Ellen (Hourihan) of Dedham, sister-in-law Ann Marie (Lauricella) Miller of Watertown, and his brother-in-law, John and wife Cathy (Bemis) Romeo of Bristol, RI., formerly of Needham, MA. Phil also leaves a large extended family.
Phil graduated with the class of 1958 from St Patrick's High School in Watertown and earned an associates degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology with the class of 1961. He worked for over 30 years for Raytheon and GTE. He enjoyed his home and working in his yard. When he was younger his hobbies included helping friends and family work on their homes, wallpapering and painting.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from Brasco & Sons Memorial, 325 Trapelo Rd., Belmont, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Luke's Church, 132 Lexington St., Belmont, MA at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Belmont Cemetery Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.

The family would like to thank Dr. D. Chi and her team of doctors and nurses at the Dana Farber Cancer Center at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and the nursing staff of Medeiros 7, who cared for Phil during his prolonged illness.
