Obituary for Christine M. "Chris " Passerello (Engrassia)

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Saturday morning August 22nd, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 62.

Born on November 6, 1952 in Arlington; daughter of the late Victor and Ida (Toste) Engrassia, Chris lived with her family in Belmont until the age of 6 and then moved to Waltham where she was raised and spent the rest of her life.

A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1971, Chris was employed as an Assembler for the Raytheon Corporation in Waltham, with J.S.C. Transportation as a Bus Driver for 30 years and until her retirement she worked at Costco in Waltham.

The central focus of her life was family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Keno and her daily numbers.

Chris is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years John J. Passerello, her devoted & loving children Sally A. Vasquezi of Waltham and MBTA Transit Police Officer Charles W. Vasquezi III and his wife Kerri of Bradford, and her cherished grandchildren Anthony Cody, Andrew Robbins, Gianna Vasquezi, Charles W. “Charlie” Vasquezi IV, step-granddaughter Christina Diesi and step-great granddaughter Alyanna.In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Christine’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773
Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday evening Aug. 25th at 7:00 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel from 3 – 7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
