Obituary for Joseph Michael Duggan

Of Boston passed away suddenly, Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his home in Boston. He was 75.

Born and raised in Newton to the late Francis and Anastasia (Smith) Duggan, he moved to the Beacon Hill section of Boston 30 years ago where he has been a resident ever since.

Mr. Duggan was employed by the MBTA for 25 years before his retirement 5 years ago. He worked as a fare collector on the Red Line.

In his spare time Joseph enjoyed to Golf, and most of all spend time with his cherished granddaughter Maeve.

Besides his granddaughter he is survived by his loving daughter Amy Duggan of Brookline, his brothers and sister Francis Duggan of Newton, Claire Duggan of Newton, Robert Duggan of Iowa, Janet Hall of Hingham, and Shelagh Allen of New York. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the former husband of the late Katherine (Marcellino) Duggan, and brother of the late Bernadette Roche and Nancy Dargin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Graveside service in celebration of Joseph's life will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 250 High St., Waltham, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
