Of Norfolk, passed away peacefully Saturday April 18, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84.
Born on July 28, 1930 in Westwood; son of the late John E. Foley and Ellen A. (Hayes) Foley, Jim was raised in Norwood and has been a resident of Norfolk since 1954.
A graduate of Norwood High School with the Class of 1948, Jim was a Farmer throughout his life owning & operating “Foley Farm”. He was employed for a period of time as Highway Superintendant for the Town of Norfolk and served as a volunteer with the Norfolk Fire Department in the capacity of Deputy Fire Chief, Firefighter and EMT.
Jim proudly served with the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer during the Korean War. He earned the Korean War Service Medal and three Bronze Service Stars.
Beloved husband for 52 years to the late Lorraine H. "Dee Dee" (Homer) Foley.
He is survived by his devoted & loving children James J. Foley and his wife Clare of Norfolk and Helen Koch and her husband Craig of Norfolk, his Cherished grandchildren Colleen Grace and her husband Paul, Maura and Megan Foley, Honey, Harmony, Colby and Cameron Koch, his adored great grandson Keegan Grace and his dear siblings George H. Foley and his wife Betty of Mashpee and Mary Foley of Norwood. In addition he is survived by several nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial to which all are invited will be Thursday, April 23 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 86 Main St, Norfolk followed by the burial with United States Air Force Military Honors at following at Norfolk Cemetery.
Public visiting hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, MEDFIELD.
