Obituary for Angelina C. Furnari (Puntonio)

Of Belmont, passed away peacefully Saturday evening March 28, 2015 in Lexington Health Care Center at the age of 89.

Born on April 23, 1925 in Belmont; daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine (Canova) Puntonio, Angelina was a lifelong resident of Belmont.

Angelina was employed by the Town of Belmont Public Schools Department as a Secretary at the Butler School and retired as the Executive Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent of Public Schools Paul Mungan after 20 years of dedicated service to the Town of Belmont.

She served as Secretary for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1272 in Belmont and was a devoted longtime member of the Saint Luke's Ladies Guild in Belmont.

Her central focus in life was her family especially her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Lawrence "Larry" Furnari, her devoted & loving children Cathy Piccolo and her husband Dennis of Burlington, Larry Furnari Jr. of Sterling Heights, MI, and Linda Furnari of Belmont, her cherished grandchildren Karen, Lauren & Catherine and adoring great grandchildren Anthony, Julia & Nathan. In addition she is survived by numerous dear cousins and friends.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 325 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT on Wednesday morning April 1st at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Angelina's Life in Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington St, Belmont at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday March 31st 3 - 7 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
