Obituary for Eric Douglas Miller

Of Waltham, passed away tragically as a result of a house fire early Monday morning February 16th, 2015 at the age of 49.

Born on April 12, 1965 in Medford; beloved son of the late Elizabeth L. "Betty" (Lohnes) Miller and Elmer G. Miller, Eric lived most of his life in Waltham and for several years in Framingham.

Eric attended Waltham Vocational High School and furthered his education at East Coast Aero Tech graduating with High Honors. He was employed as a Mechanic throughout his life with Sullivan Brothers Toyota of Kingston, Dan's Jeep of Westboro, and with Watertown Used Auto for over 20 years. He loved jeeps.

He had a passion for fishing and was a member of the Hudson Rod & Gun Club for many years. Eric was a fanatic and absolute diehard New England Patriot's Fan.

Eric devoted his life to the care of his mother and for the past several years lived with her to allow her to stay in her home throughout her illness.

He is survived by his devoted & loving daughter Amanda Nichole Miller and her Fiance’ Michael Matterazzo of Framingham, his cherished sister Liz Miller-Gartz and her husband James of Hopedale and Greg Miller and his wife the late Joanne of Watertown, his adoring nephews Ryan and Jeremy Gartz, and his dear friend and former wife Deborah (Nelson) LeBlanc.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Eric’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM on Thursday afternoon Feb. 26th at 1:30 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
