Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Saturday morning November 8th, 2014 with her loving daughter by her side at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Weston at the age of 91.
Born on September 12, 1923 in Sydney, Nova Scotia; daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Landry) Sapatagulina, Evelyn immigrated to the United States as a young woman and has been a resident of Waltham ever since.
Evelyn was employed as a Quality Control Inspector for the Unitrod Corporation in Watertown for over 25 years. She worked for many years as a live in maid and had been a cook at Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham and Saint Joseph’s convent in Belmont for years.
She was a faithful parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham for years.
Evelyn was an active and devoted member of the French-American Victory Club in Waltham as a Member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Guild, she cooked and baked for almost every event including the annual Bean Supper.
In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, playing cards and traveling all over the place in her famous red car.
Beloved wife of the late Alphee J. Bourgeois.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Paulette Floyd and her husband Brian of Waltham and her cherished grandson Kevin Scott Barry. In addition she is survived by several nieces & nephews.
Brother of the late Connie Sapatagulina.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Evelyn's Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday evening Nov. 14th at 6:00 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service on Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
