Of Waltham, passed away Wednesday morning October 15th, 2014 at the age of 82 in Boston Medical Center after injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Waltham.
Born on December 6, 1931 in the Republic of Czechoslovakia; son of the late Vitezslav and Ludmila Dorazil, Victor immigrated to the United States as a young man and lived most of his life in Waltham.
Victor served proudly with the United States Army.
After his service, Victor worked as an Assistant Engineer at the Raytheon and Polaroid Corporations both in Waltham.
He was a member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post #156 in Waltham, the Waltham Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1018, and the Lexington Lodge of Elks (B.P.O.E.) #2204.
Victor was passionate about dancing and for over 20 years he along with his beloved wife danced every Saturday night at the “Garage” in Malden. In his spare time he loved flowers and tending to his garden especially his roses.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years Edith “Edie” (Lorenz) Babineau Dorazil, his loving daughter Lisa Millerick and her husband Brian of Waltham, his cherished grandchildren, Shane, Sophia, Stephen, Rachel and Cullen, his dear nephew Danny Baker and his wife Sharon and their children Lee and Natalie of Sutton, NH. In addition he is survived by several brothers and sisters that reside in the Republic of Czechoslovakia.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Victor’s Life will be held PRIVATE for his Family in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial. Interment with United States Army Military Honors will follow in Newton Cemetery.
