Of South Dakota formerly of Waltham, went home to be with the Lord, September 22, 2014 at the Rapid City regional Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota. She was 91.
Born in Lawrence to the late Otto and Mary (Reter) Hofemann, she was a longtime resident of Waltham until moving to South Dakota several months ago.
Charlotte was a devout Christian and an active member of the Beth Eden Baptist Church in Waltham. Mrs. Keating also devoted 11 years of her life to the Salvation Army and received many awards for her service.
In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She made many beautiful sweaters and vests for all of her family members and friends. She will be remembered as a good friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by her loving son Leonard Keating and his wife Mikal (DuVall) of South Dakota, and her brother Roland Hofemann and his wife Lois of New Hampshire. She is survived by 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Charlotte's life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
