Of Waltham passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, July 12, 2014 at her home. She was 74.
Born in Boston to the late Robert L. and Sarah E. (Higbee) Bryant, she grew up as one of sixteen children in Allston. She moved to Waltham over 30 years ago where she has resided ever since
.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Al-Anon for many years.
In her spare time she enjoyed taking Zumba Classes at the Waltham Stanley Senior Center, Shopping, Dancing, listening to music, and going to the Concerts on the Common. She also enjoyed having dinner at the Chateau and most of all spending time with her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Brown.
She is survived by her beloved children Kimberly Brown of Waltham and Penny Backstrom of Assonet her fiancé Richard Soucy of Fitchburg, and her cherished grandchildren Jessie Brown of Quincy, Nicole Brown of Maine and Timothy, Amanda, and Corey Backstrorm all of Taunton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Philomena life at the Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Service from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held Thursday morning at the Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham at 10 a.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
