Obituary for Jeanne M. Bruzzese

Jeanne M. Bruzzese
Jeanne M. Bruzzese, 50, of Cambridge, formerly of Belmont, passed away on March 19th, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.

Jeanne is survived by her parents, Joan and Don Bruzzese of Cambridge, her brother Don Bruzzese of Waltham, her sister Robyn Pereira and brother-in-law Roger Pereira of Westport, her devoted boyfriend, Trey Newlin of Cambridge, her dear friends Kathy Ferguson, Kenny Tartagalia and his son Rich, Susan and Shawn Wyatt, numerous other cherished friends, and her dogs “Weasie” & “Sandee”.

A graduate of Belmont High School with the Class of 1981, Jeanne was a cheerleader and outstanding star athlete playing several different sports during her school career, including the first girl’s hockey team. She was named to the 1980 and 1981 Boston Globe All Scholastic Gymnastic Teams and was inducted into the Belmont High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1995 for outstanding achievement in gymnastics.

She furthered her education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and had a career in Human Resources with Shaw’s/Star Market, TAC Worldwide and, most recently, with APT Management Group.

Jeanne loved life. Time spent with her family and friends was precious to her. She was outgoing, fun loving, caring, and enjoyed making people laugh. Her memory will forever live in the hearts and minds of those she touched in such a short period of time.

Jeanne enjoyed working out and staying in shape. She was always at the gym whether it be Gold’s Gym or Super Fitness. She was an avid dog lover and rescued three dogs through the years. Moreover, Jeanne enjoyed socializing and dining out with her many friends.

A passionate and diehard local sports fan, Jeanne was a proud New England Patriot’s season ticket holder and former Boston Bruins season ticket holder. She tailgated before Patriot’s games with family and friends for years. While in school, Jeanne had the opportunity to work for the New England Patriot’s Cheerleading squad as a tumbler.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to join the Bruzzese Family at the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel 325 Trapelo Rd. BELMONT, Tuesday morning March 25th at 10:00 a.m. for visitation and a Funeral Service in celebration of Jeanne’s Life at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday March 24th from 4 - 7 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking.
