Paul & Dolores Carbone
Dolores and I go back with Bill & Charlotte over 50 years, when we were young married couples with young children. During our early years as young couples and parents we did many memorable family things together, frequently visiting one another. He loved to play cards, and although I was a terrible card player, he loved to play cribbage, and I could never beat him, and I am sure the few times I beat him he let me. I remember well a family trip we took to Western Mass. As we were decending Mt. Greylock, the breaks on Bill's car failed, and due to Bill's driving skills he was able to bring the car to a safe stop. However, in spite the day was a fun family time together. With our young children we visited play and amusement parks, zoos, went to the beach, went on weekends during the summer on outings to diffent State Parks. As young couples and individually we went frequently to the movies. Loving to go to see war movies, I remember well going with Bill to downtown Boston to see war movies and going out after. which we both loved to see. During the last couple of decades we lost contact with Bill, but would see Charollet from time to time, especially during the Christmas holidays, and would get an update on Bill. For a time I was a member of the Elks, and as a result of Bills being actively involved in the Elks, we would cross paths. Need-less-to say we were shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing, however, we have only pleasant and happy memories of our friendship, which we will, in his memory, always have. Time passes so quickly, and I cannot believe that Bill's passing was a year ago. Our prayers will continue to be for Bill and with his family as time goes on. May he rest in peace.
